Olyrose Care Foundation (OCAFO)
Olyrose Care Foundation (OCAFO) is a registered non-profit, non-governmental organisation that focuses on providing access to basic healthcare services in the rural riverine and hard-to-reach communities in the Niger Delta region. Our intention includes: maternal and child care services, health advocacy/awareness campaigns, health education, sanitation campaigns, immunisation campaigns, humanitarian and other social services through outreach programmes.
Objectives of our Organisation
a. To provide access to basic healthcare services in the rural riverine and hard-to-reach communities in the Niger Delta region in order to facilitate maximum healthcare coverage.
b. To provide curative and preventive healthcare services in aspects of common or prevalent diseases in rural riverine communities.
c. To provide sustainable school health services in Nursery and Primary Schools to promote the safety, wellbeing, and healthy development of children
d. Ensure cost effective community-based and easy to access basic healthcare services provision to rural riverine dwellers and especially to women during and after childbirth backed with regular access to essential supplement for women and children.
e. Promote economic and social well-being for individuals, families, and communities inclusive of persons living with disabilities.
f. Where applicable, to train up a requisite number of volunteers on family healthcare, traditional birth attendants(TBAs) and other relevant health educational programmes.
g. To co-operate and partner with the relevant Government Ministry, Department or Agency seeking the goal of redressing the mortality rate and rehabilitation for such dwellers at the time of any disaster.
h.To plan and execute development, relief and rehabilitation programs within the objects of OCAFO.
i. Provide comprehensive response to healthcare threads in the rural riverine communities be that natural or man-made.
j. Support wellness efforts across board ranging from protecting mental healthcare running through prevention of risky behaviours such as discouraging tobacco use and substance abuse, to promoting better nutrition and physical activity.
k. To seek and receive subscriptions, donations, and other supports from persons, institutions or organisations be it from a Government Ministry, department or agency from home or abroad and to apply the proceeds therefrom for the purposes for the organisation.
